Vivo X90 Pro is Vivo's latest flagship smartphone that comes with impressive features. It boasts a top-of-the-line MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor and a one-inch Sony IMX989 sensor primary camera. The phone is camera-centric and comes with its own display and imaging co-processor, the Vivo V2. However, the price tag of Rs. 84,990 begs the question: is it worth it? Let's find out.
Design: The Vivo X90 Pro is a stylish and beautiful phone. It features a vegan leather finish on the back that provides better grip than glass.

There's also a metallic finish strip and a large camera bump that reminds you of the Nokia Lumia series. The buttons are ergonomically placed, and there's a speaker grill, a Type-C charging port, a mic, and a SIM tray.

The front and back have an evenly curved design, and the metal frame and vegan leather finish combination are impressive. Despite its large display, the phone is easy to use with one hand. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the screen, making it easy to use. The phone also gets an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Display: The Vivo X90 Pro has a 6.78-inch OLED screen that supports a resolution of up to 2800x1260 pixels. By default, it comes with 1080p resolution, which is slightly disappointing compared to the Vivo X80 Pro.

The colors are natural, and the viewing angles are great, but the colors are not as vibrant as some other phones, such as the Pixel 7 Pro, whose display quality is excellent. The 120Hz refresh rate makes the display very smooth, and it supports HDR10+ playback and Widevine L1 DRM, which is useful for popular apps such as Netflix and YouTube. The display's light reflections are significant in bright sunlight.

Camera: The Vivo X90 Pro's biggest attraction is its camera. Vivo collaborated with German photography expert Zeiss to create the camera system. The phone features a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX989 primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 50-megapixel portrait camera, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The phone also has Vivo's V2 imaging chip. The primary sensor does not have a gimbal stabilization system, but Vivo has provided its custom-developed optical image stabilization. The phone does not have a periscope telephoto camera, but there are significant upgrades to the main and portrait camera sensors, while the ultra-wide camera's resolution is lower than the X80 Pro. Pictures taken with the main camera have excellent details and dynamic range, but the colors are a bit saturated, as seen in previous Vivo phones.

Pictures taken with the 2X portrait camera have good bokeh effect and edge detection. The ultra-wide camera performs slightly weaker than the previous model, especially in low light conditions. In terms of video recording, the main camera can record 8K 24fps or 4K 60fps videos. The camera's performance is impressive both during the day and at night, and the V2 imaging chip and camera hardware help offer well-lit and detailed videos. The camera app also offers various features, including the pro mode.
Performance: Vivo X90 Pro with Mediatek's flagship Dimensity 9200 processor and V2 imaging chip support, is an incredibly powerful phone. With 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, storage issues are a thing of the past. The phone's performance is exceptionally smooth, and playing high-end graphics games is an unparalleled experience on the X90 Pro. There is no lag, and the performance is seamless.

The phone does not have any heating issues, and the battery life is excellent. It comes with a 4870mAh battery and 120 watts of fast wired charging support, enabling you to fully charge the phone in almost half an hour. The phone also supports 50 watts of fast wireless charging if you prefer wireless charging.
Vivo X90 Pro runs the latest Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 out of the box, and the software experience is also exceptionally smooth. The scrolling is seamless without any lagging issues. Vivo is one of those brands where software and security updates are regularly available.
Conclusion : Overall, Vivo X90 Pro is an excellent smartphone that delivers robust performance in every aspect. The design is sleek and stylish, the display is great, and the camera takes fantastic pictures. The performance is top-notch, and the battery life is excellent. I highly recommend this phone if you are a camera lover and enjoy taking great pictures from your smartphone. Thank you for reading, and don't forget to subscribe for more reviews.
